DIRITTO E GENERE NELLA PROSPETTIVA EUROPEA (Napoli, Editoriale Scientifica, 2022), edited by Valentina Bonini, Valentina Calderai, Elisabetta Catelani, Angioletta Sperti, Elettra Stradella (in collaboration with Federico Azzarri e Chiara Favilli)
is a book addressed to Undergraduate Courses in Law, as well as in the field of social sciences, which have devoted or will introduce teachings related to law and gender, through different points of views. Nowadays, the European perspective on the topic appears unavoidable, thus framing the whole book, in addition to a transdisciplinary, both diachronic and synchronic comparative assessment. This work merges the experiences recently carried out by a group of scholars at the University of Pisa, through the institution of the “Law and Gender” Course, followed by the Jean Monnet project, funded by the European Commission as part of the Erasmus + Jean Monnet Actions, “European Law and Gender”, for the years 2019-2022. The book aims at stressing the theoretical emergence of an academic education on gender and its legal relevance, providing students with new lens to detect shortcomings and issues in their training, as well as in their professional background.
